How I found my way after my PhD

I know the struggle of choosing a job after a PhD from the inside out. With a PhD in history in my pocket – but knowing that academic teaching wasn’t for me – I myself spent about 4 years looking for an alternative career. I went around in circles, spent hours searching for job openings, but to no avail. The optimism with which I started my search slowly turned into impatience and disappointment. Career coaching eventually helped me make a career switch.
